Antioch, a city in Contra Costa County, California, is located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area along the San Joaquin-Sacramento River Delta. The city is home to 31 parks covering a total of 310 acres (1.3 km²) with an additional 600 acres (2.4 km²) of city-owned open space. It also has 11 miles (18 km) of walking paths connecting communities to parks and schools. Antioch has good public transportation service as the city services BART, Tr9-Delta Transit, and Amtrak.
