Beaumont is a city in Riverside County, California, and its population was 11,384 at the 2000 census. Its neighboring city to the east is Banning and to the west is Calimesa. According to the Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 27.2 square miles, of which, 27.2 square miles of it is land and only 0.04% is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 11,384 people, 3,881 households, and 2,782 families residing in the city. There were 4,258 housing units at an average density of 156.7/sq mi (60.5/km²).
