Gilroy is the southernmost city in Santa Clara County, California. Gilroy is well known for its garlic crop and hosts the Gilroy Garlic Festival annually, featuring various garlicky foods including garlic ice cream. This has led to their nickname as the “Garlic Capital of the World”. Due to the moderating influence of the Pacific Ocean, Gilroy enjoys a mild, Mediterranean climate.
