Hesperia is located within San Bernardino County, located approximately 75 miles northeast of Los Angeles. The locals refer to the surrounding area as the High Desert. Hesperia Lake is a man-made lake located on the south-eastern part of the town. The lake hosts many events such as the fourth of July activities. Camping and fishing are permitted at the lake. Hesperia's golf course is known for its narrow fairways and fast greens.
