Marysville is the county seat of Yuba County, California. A sign on the roadside as one enters Marysville still carries the slogan: "Gateway to The Gold Fields". Marysville is serviced by Marysville Joint Unified School District for its three high schools: Marysville High, Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts, and Abraham Lincoln Home School.
